At IMV Imaging, we’re delighted to announce that Asto Equina CT is part of our advanced diagnostic imaging offering!

This amazing scanner provides high-resolution bone and soft-tissue imaging - from limbs to head and neck (up to C7). All while prioritising stability, calm handling and minimal risk throughout the scan.

What makes Asto Equina CT so special?

The revolutionary scanner is the world’s only true weight-bearing, fan-beam CT designed specifically for horses.

With the horse being in a weight-bearing position, this reduces anaesthesia risks, keeps the horse safe and comfortable, and gives the veterinarian a clearer picture of what’s happening under real-world conditions.

It also streamlines the workflow - scans can be done quickly, with less stress for both horse and handler.

For equine veterinarians that are looking to improve both imaging quality and safety, the Asto Equina CT sc;anner offers a secure, low-stress solution for horses and handlers.

“A much more calming environment for the horse” – Cotts Equine Hospital

Cotts Equine Hospital in Wales was one of the first practices in the UK with Asto Equina CT fully installed. We spent a day with James Whitmore, Veterinary Surgeon and Director at Cotts Equine Hospital, and his team to hear how the scanner has benefited their practice and improved the health and welfare of their patients.
